Conversion of old-style licences to new-style licences, including advice on transitional provisions, extent of grandfather rights and need for variations.

Acting as clerk to the "licensing committee/panel" for the licensing authority, including legal advice, producing record of meeting and decision notice.

Advice to licensing authority and drafting of statement of licensing policy/amendments; advice to objectors; challenges to policy (acting for or against licensing authority).

Advice and representation for council, applicant or other interested parties on appeal to magistrates' court against permission or refusal of licence or conditions.

Applications for closure orders and appeals.

Prosecuting and defending Licensing Act offences.

Training seminars on the new licensing law.
